A whole-house commission in Guangdong, China, furnished almost entirely in solid North American black walnut paired with soft full-grain leather and natural marble. Every piece — from the round dining table to the L-shaped tea desk — was designed around the family’s daily rituals and finished with our signature hand-rubbed oil.
The Living Room
A soft-edged sofa suite in cream full-grain leather wraps around sculptural black walnut frames, paired with a square marble-top coffee table and a matching walnut side table. New-Chinese lattice screens and sheer curtains keep the open room calm and light.
The Dining Room
The round solid walnut table seats ten around a polished marble lazy Susan, ringed by curved-back upholstered chairs that echo the silhouette of the living-room pieces. Floor-to-ceiling glass turns evening dinners into a view over the city skyline.
The Tea Room
An L-shaped black walnut tea desk with an integrated tea station anchors the room, with leather-seated armchairs and a long bench for larger gatherings — a dedicated setting for long afternoons of gongfu tea.
Storage & Lounge
A curved, fluted walnut sideboard with leather-lined drawers and brass pulls anchors the entryway. A compact round pedestal table serves the kitchen dining nook, while a sculptural curved sofa in cream leather — detailed with solid walnut end caps — closes off the lounge.
